Cervical Disc Treatment in San Francisco

Cervical Disc Treatment in San Francisco, CA 94111

We have been providing cervical disc treatment in San Francisco for over 22 years now in the Financial District.

Cervical Disc Treatment has evolved over the years to the point where neck surgery is not the primary option. Nonsurgical options for cervical disc treatment such as chiropractic, physical therapy, and now nonsurgical spinal decompression are mostly successful when it comes to herniated disc treatment.

For our first 10 years in practice we would use a combination of chiropractic, massage, exercise, and traction to treat herniated discs in the neck. About 10 years ago we began to incorporate cervical spinal decompression with the DRX9000c into our treatment protocols. The results have been outstanding.

Cervical decompression systems such as the DRX9000c are designed and built to treat cervical disc herniations non-surgically. The do this by isolating on a specific herniated disc, say at C6-7 and doing the following:

  • Enlarging the disc space.
  • Elongating the spine.
  • Strengthening the spinal muscles, ligaments and tendons.
  • Re-positioning the injured cervical disc away from the nerves and spinal cord.
  • Re-hydrating the cervical disc.

What this means is that cervical disc treatment with spinal decompression is often able to help disc patients avoid risky neck surgeries. And the results for the most part are permanent but may require ongoing maintenance.

To find out if you are a candidate for 100% natural cervical disc treatment in San Francisco with chiropractic or spinal decompression, please call 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary consultation.

Serious Neck and Arm Pain?

San Francisco Chiropractor Comments:

MD News Photos 010 We treat many forms of neck and arm pain at Executive Express Chiropractic in downtown San Francisco. Most of the time it's an easy fix…a bone out of place (vertebral subluxation) or some tight muscles or spasms.

Sometimes however, the cause of the problem is a little more involved…say a pinched nerve from a bulging or herniated disc…or degenerative disc disease.

Typically, we use the same treatment approach…it just takes longer if the underlying cause is more severe.

Our treatment approach is chiropractic (mirror image) adjusting…sometimes with motion, Active Release Techniques(ART), massage, neuromuscular re-education, and inter-segmental traction, which re-hydrates the spinal discs and elongates the spine. We also incorporate condition specific exercises, ergonomic instruction, and home care (ice, cervical pillows, sleeping instruction).

Does this approach help everyone that walks into our chiropractic center with neck, shoulder, or arm pain?  NO…just the overwhelming majority of them.

For those patients that do not respond…we have a next step…nonsurgical spinal decompression of the cervical spine. The machine we use is the DRX9000c by Axiom Worldwide. This allows us to treat serious neurovascular compression syndromes such as herniated and bulging discs in house.

Often times we continue with the chiropractic…we just add the spinal decompression to the mix. And sometimes we just dive right in to spinal decompression…if the patient has already tried chiropractic or is too sore and inflamed to handle it (even though our approach is very gentle).

Cervical decompression or cervical decompression with chiropractic and ART can be a powerful combination for the treatment of serious neck and arm pain. Come find out for yourself.

You can find a doctor near you with a DRX9000c at www.axiomworldwide.com , or you can contact our San Francisco Spinal Decompression Center at 415-392-2225. We offer a complimentary consultation.

You can also request an appointment online.

Spinal Decompression News From San Francisco

San Francisco Bay Area Chiropractor and Herniated Disc Doctor Comments:

Drx1 We have been using the DRX9000 lumbar decompression system at our Financial District Decompression Center for 3 years now. Our DRX9000c cervical decompression system has been in operation 2 years.

Well…So Far So Good! Nonsurgical spinal decompression has now been fully integrated into our treatment protocols for cervical and lumbar disc herniations. Conditions such as disc bulges, degenerative disc disease, facet syndrome, and spinal stenosis also respond favorably to decompression therapy with the DRX systems.

Sure, spinal decompression treatment does not help everyone…but nothing does.

However, Decompression therapy with the DRX9000 or the DRX9000c does deliver the one of the most scientifically advanced and targeted nonsurgical, drugless treatment methods available in the marketplace. I have seen patients that have tried everything under the sun with no results, respond to spinal decompression.

The bottom line is this…If you suffer with cervical or lumbar disc herniations and have not responded to conventional therapies, you owe it to yourself to find out if you are a candidate for the DRX9000 or DRX9000c…not everyone is (you must qualify medically).

There is a doctor finder at www.axiomworldwide.com. OR, if you live in the SF Bay Area and would like to find out if you are a candidate for the DRX9000 or DRX9000c…simply call our Bay Area Herniated Disc Center 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary consultation.

Cervical Spinal Decompression with the DRX9000c

San Francisco Chiropractor and Disc Herniation Doctor Comments:

Md_news_photos_010 We treat more than our share of cervical disc herniations at our San Francisco Back and Wrist Pain Center. Traditional chiropractic care can often times fail to deliver desired results with difficult cases of chronic neck and arm pain.

Bulging or herniated discs in the neck can trap and pinch cervical nerve roots as they exit the cervical spine. These pinched nerves in the neck can cause severe neck, arm, and hand pain…and weakness of the upper extremities. There can be associated headaches, insomnia, dizziness, and even loss of memory.

About 2 years ago we purchased a DRX9000c cervical spinal decompression machine. We had already been treating lumbar disc herniations with the DRX9000. Now we have a way to help patients that do not respond to chiropractic…or any other neck pain therapies for that matter.

The DRX9000c is very gentle so most patients with cervical disc herniations can handle the decompression sessions with no problem. In fact…many fall asleep.

If you would like to find out if you are a candidate for nonsurgical cervical decompression with the DRX9000c, the best thing to do is go to www.axiomworldwide.com and find a doctor near you.

If you live in the SF Bay Area and would like to see the DRX9000c close up and discuss your case…simply call our San Francisco DRX9000 Treatment Center at 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary consultation.

Nonsurgical Spinal Decompression or Artificial Disc Replacement?

San Francisco Chiropractor and Herniated Disc Doctor Comments:

Prodiscc1 I just read an article on the excellent www.spine-health.com Back Pain Blog, entitled:

First Cervical Disc Replacement Surgery With ProDisc-C

I must say…this advancement is very interesting, and I would be curious about the long-term studies down the road. But, for the folks that have really bad herniated cervical discs or advanced degenerative cervical disc disease…this surgery has the potential to offer instant relief.

I’m sure I will be asked if spinal decompression with the DRX9000 should be considered first…and my answer would be YES. Geez…Who wouldn’t want to try to fix their problem without neck surgery? That’s always been my opinion…and I’m sticking to it.

However…if all else fails…including nonsurgical cervical decompression with the DRX9000c…then by all means consider disc replacement. Anyway…check out the article…it’s hot off the press.

If you would like to find out if you are a candidate for nonsurgical cervical spinal decompression with the DRX 9000c…please call our San Francisco Decompression Center at 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary consultation.

Can A Disc Herniation In My Neck Cause Carpal Tunnel Symptoms?

San Francisco Chiropractor and Herniated Disc Doctor Comments:

1977w1 The nerves that control the hand, come from the neck. If there is pressure on the cervical nerve roots  as they exit the cervical spine…say from a herniated disc…or degenerative disc disease (DDD)…it can cause symptoms in the hand. The same symptoms you get when you have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS).

In fact…the nerve that is inside the carpal tunnel…the Median Nerve, is created by cervical nerve roots C5-T1. A small amount of pressure from a disc herniation…even the pressure of the weight of a pencil erasure, can cause pain, numbness/tingling, or weakness in the hands (CTS symptoms).

Images1 Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is caused when the median nerve is compressed inside the carpal tunnel (wrist bones).  Usually, people that use their hands a lot, like court reporters, office workers, hair cutters, and athletes, get CTS…but, there are other risk factors as well (diabetes, hypothyroidism, obesity, arthritis, and more).

I treat mostly downtown office workers at my SF Financial District Back & Wrist Pain Center…so we see our fair share of CTS…as well as cervical disc herniations.

Sometimes there is both a herniated disc in the neck (or other form of cervical nerve root pressure), and carpal tunnel syndrome. This is called double crush syndrome…and is fairly common.

1861w1 In fact, all of these conditions are things we see every day. And, we have great success with all of them…sometimes after everything else has failed to deliver results.

It has to do with our treatment approach and diagnostic methods.

So, if you have been diagnosed with CTS or cervical disc herniations, or are experiencing pain, numbness/tingling, or weakness in the hands…that just wont seem to go away…and would like to find out if we can help, we would like to meet with you.

We are confident that we can diagnose and treat most CTS or cervical disc conditions, and if we can’t…we can refer you to someone that can.

All you need to do is call our San Francisco Back and Wrist Pain Center at 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary neck and arm pain evaluation. Chances are…you will be glad you did.

Cervical Disk Degeneration and Nonsurgical Spinal Decompression

San Francisco Bay Area Chronic Back Pain Center first to incorporate cervical spinal decompression into treatment protocol for degenerated and herniated disks in the neck

So, you are concerned about your spinal disc degeneration. Maybe you have been told you have disk herniations and you need surgery. Or, maybe you have been told surgery would be too dangerous and you should just learn to live with the pain. Chiropractic and exercise make it sore. Nothing seems to work. If this sounds like you, you may be a candidate for nonsurgical cervical spinal decompression. Md_news_photos_010

NON SURGICAL CERVICAL SPINAL DECOMPRESSION IS VERY SAFE AND GENTLE

Even elderly patients can be cleared for decompression therapy for the neck. Typically, you would come in for 30 minute sessions 3-4 times per week for about 6 weeks. Each decompression session is followed by electro-muscle stimulation and ice. So, you are here about an hour. Other than a little soreness in the beginning, there are no side effects and the machine has never caused permanent bodily harm to anyone (that I know of). It may take a while before you start feeling better. But, chances are it will be a favorable outcome.

If you or anyone you know is suffering with pain related to disk herniations, foraminal stenosis, or degenerative disk disease (DDD), you may be a candidate for care. To find out if you qualify for spinal decompression at our SF Bay Area Decompression Center, simply call 415-392-2225 and ask for a complimentary cervical decompression evaluation. Chances are, you will be glad you did.

The DRX9000c. Cervical Spinal Decompression Therapy for Herniated Discs in the Neck

San Francisco Disc Pain Center first in Bay Area to treat Cervical Disc Herniations with Axiom Worldwide’s DRX9000c

Md_news_photos_010_3

Spinal decompression is relatively new. It has been in the mainstream for only about 3-4 years. Mostly for low back herniations. Cervical disc herniations are less common, therefore there are less cervical spinal decompression machines available for patients to access.

Once we mastered the lumbar decompression process with the DRX9000 at our Financial District  location, we ordered the DRX9000c, so that we could treat herniated discs and degenerated discs in the neck. Some of the symptoms that our herniated disc patients present with are as follows:

  • Neck and shoulder pain
  • Arm and Hand Pain
  • Numbness and Tingling in the hands
  • Weakness of grip
  • Night Pain
  • Headaches

Often times we combine massage and physical therapy, even gentle adjustments with the spinal decompression. All cases are treated on an individual basis. Success can be achieved with even the worst cases. The sessions are 30-45 minutes and some patients actually fall asleep during the treatment. The best thing to do if you have been diagnosed with herniated discs is to get a second opinion from a DRX doctor in your area. Axiom Worldwide can steer you to a local doctor with their online doctors request form.

If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and would like to visit our world renowned Decompression Center in the Financial District, we have two easy choices for you to find out if you are a candidate for Nonsurgical Cervical Spinal Decompression on the DRX9000c:

1. You can fill out our Free Online Consultation Form and we will answer your questions online and follow-up with you per your instructions. Or,

2. You can call our office at 415-392-2225 and ask for a Complimentary Cervical Disc Pain Evaluation. This takes about 45 minutes (Value ($197.00).

Whatever you decide we wish you the best.
