Can a chiropractor help wrist pain?

San Francisco Chiropractor Comments:

Hand pain treatment san francisco Most of the patients we treat at Executive Express Chiropractic in downtown San Francisco spend the majority of their day sitting at a desk in front of a computer. Some do this for up to 12 hours per day.

Well…needless to say, this can be very hard on the body, especially the low back, neck, shoulders, arms, wrists and hands.

The most common condition we treat  at Executive Express is low back pain, then neck pain, shoulder pain, headaches, and yes…arm and wrist pain.

Many of our chiropractic patients are surprised to learn we can help their  wrist pain…but we can.

At Executive Express Chiropractic we use a combination of chiropractic adjustments (primarily to the neck), extremity adjustments, Active Release Technique (ART), Deep Tissue Laser Therapy, and exercise, to treat wrist pain.

Why treat the neck if the pain is in the hand?

Well…because the nerves that control the arm, wrist, and hand, originate in the neck. Pressure on these nerves can cause pain in the arm and hand.

In fact, what makes our treatment approach for upper extremity disorders so effective is that we check and treat you (if needed) from the neck to the fingertips on both sides. That's right…even if you present with right wrist pain, we are most likely going to work on your left wrist also…because it has probably been working overtime because of your right wrist injury.

And, we will also teach you how to set-up your workstation, the best sleeping postures, and address any nutrition concerns you may have.

Wrist pain can be challenging for most doctors. But when you treat wrist pain and related disorders day in and day out like we do, you get good at it. So sure, most chiropractors work primarily on the spine as that is the center of life, but some also work on the extremities.

Conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, sprains/strains, neck, arm, or hand/wrist pain, all respond favorably to our unique, comprehensive brand of chiropractic.

So, if you live or work near the San Francisco Financial District, give Executive Express Chiropractic a call at 415-392-2225. Ask for a complimentary wrist pain consultation and mention this blog post. We would love to meet you.

Dr. Davis, this is valuable information and thanks for sharing. Yes, it’s true that some wrist pain can be caused by nerve pressure at the nerve origin, the neck. I see it every day and use a similar protocol as you do, very effective.
