Dr. Jacobs

"If a Chiropractor could get me better using only his hands, no drugs or surgery, I felt this was an amazing thing."
Dr. Jacobs grew up in Central Valley California where he was involved in all types of sports including, soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming, wakeboarding and golf. But it was wakeboarding that originally introduced him into Chiropractic. Dr. Jacobs took a nasty fall and threw out his back. He was unable to run or jump, and even walking was a struggle. So he went to see a chiropractor who, after only a few visits, helped him get back on the basketball court. Being treated by the Chiropractor allowed Dr. Jacobs to not only make the UC Santa Cruz team, but became a starter as a freshman which is a rare thing in collegiate sports. It was right then that Dr. Jacobs knew he wanted to change his career path from being an Orthopedic Surgeon to becoming a Chiropractor.

When Dr. Jacobs left UC Santa Cruz with a B.S in Biology, he went to Palmer West College of Chiropractic in San Jose focusing on sports chiropractic. As a member of American Sports Chiropractic Association, he had the opportunity to work at numerous athletic events as the medical staff including the California beach volleyball tour, sea otter mountain bike classic, marathons, soccer events and he even got the opportunity to be part of the chiropractic staff for the San Jose Ballet.
After college he did his internship in Park City, Utah for at a clinic that treated many winter Olympic athletes. Next he worked at two clinics: one was a sports clinic in Morgan Hill, and another was a general family and wellness clinic in Cupertino.
Then a huge opportunity came where he was able to work with Dr. Eben Davis at his new clinic, Executive Express Chiropractic in downtown San Francisco. Dr. Jacobs has been at Executive Express Chiropractic since day one and is currently the head treating doctor. Dr. Jacobs specializes in ART (Active Release Technique) which is the gold standard for soft tissue therapy. He also treats shoulder injuries, TMJ, wrists and ankle dysfunctions, as well as many other common musculoskeletal ailments.
According to Dr. Jacobs "Many chiropractors overlook the muscles, tendons and ligaments that attach to the spine and joints when treating chronic conditions. With a combination of chiropractic adjustments and ART, the results are astonishing."
